At The Modern Calligraphy Co. we want you to have a great time and feel relaxed, so you can get your best results. During this workshop for beginners, your tutor will give demonstrations for the whole class, as well as providing one-on-one support and troubleshooting any individual difficulties you come across.

For this special Christmas themed workshop, we will guide you through creating your own gorgeous Christmas cards, gift tags, and gift wrap. You will have a go at using both pointed nib and brush pens, and exploring the various effects that can be achieved with each. Using our original templates, you'll create beautiful modern calligraphy, as well as learning how to add sparkling metallics and embellishments to your projects to really elevate them and add that Christmas wow factor!

We’re confident you’ll enjoy the workshop and that you’ll soon be hooked, creating greeting cards, party invitations and artworks for your home and to give as gifts.

For lunch, we’ll be serving a tasty hot meal along with a selection of individually wrapped cakes and biscuits for pudding. Tea’s, coffee’s, cold drinks and festive treats will be available throughout the day.

We have a small shop at our studio, stocking some of our favourite calligraphy supplies, including the items you will have used during your workshop so that you can continue your calligraphy journey at home.

All the materials you’ll need are provided, and all the worksheets and templates you work through are yours to keep so you’ll have something lovely to take home with you.
