Your calligraphy kit will contain everything you need for your workshop including a dual tip brush pen, worksheets and artwork template.

This workshop is the perfect introduction to festive calligraphy. No experience is necessary and it doesn't matter if you are right-handed, left-handed, or have terrible handwriting!

We will start with a demo to show you how to use your equipment, then we'll go through warm-up exercises to teach you the basics, practising letterforms and joining up letters. Follow along, completing your step-by-step worksheets, and receive the guidance and help of our Master Calligrapher.

Your tutor will explain how to create your own modern calligraphy style and you'll finish off the workshop by creating your own festive calligraphy piece. Friendly and informative, you will be guided through each element, so that you are able to build up your skills quickly. There will be 5 minutes for additional Q&A's at the end of the workshop for anyone that would like to know more.

System requirements

This workshop will be hosted via Google Meetings. You will need a good WiFi connection. To participate, you need a computer that has video and audio capabilities. We'd recommend using a laptop so you can easily tilt your webcam towards your work so we can see your progress. If you have a PC with a fixed webcam you can always hold your work up to it. If you opt for using a tablet or iPad, you will need a holder or somewhere to place it throughout the workshop so that your hands are free to do calligraphy. We wouldn't really recommend a phone, as the screen is a little too small!
