Friday 20th October

We’ll get together from 6 pm in the Beach House Guest House for a ‘meet and mingle’ session over a glass of bubbles and a yummy buffet dinner. We’ll do a quick intro and have a chat in more detail about what’s going to happen over the weekend. In the room, we’ll have loads of books, magazine clippings and reference materials to flick through, so that your tutors can help each of you put together your own ‘inspo board’ of lettering you love, that we’ll use to guide you for the weekend.

Saturday 21st October

You’ll have a delicious continental breakfast, before making your way to the studio for the workshop which will start at 9.30 - 2.30. The workshop will focus on refining your style, which will mean less structured team learning and much more one-to-one support. We’ll have a delicious hot lunch together and then the rest of the afternoon and evening will be yours to explore the local area. 

By now, we’re sure you will have met some lovely people and wish to plan where to go out and maybe for dinner together! We have some fabulous suggestions too….pop into Chichester and visit the Cathedral or the Novium Museum, or check out what’s on at Pallant Art Gallery!

If you’d rather keep practising your calligraphy, that’s also fine.

Sunday 22nd October

Again you’ll have a delicious continental breakfast and then for those that want to, we’ll have a lovely stroll along the beach before we get started. The workshop will start a little later at 10.30 am, but the studio will be open from 9.30 am for those early birds that can’t wait to get started. We’ll have a hot buffet lunch and then finish off around 3 pm so that you have more time to explore, or plenty of time if you have a longer journey to get home.
